Dear all, I apologise for hijacking the band email lists, but this is the quickest way I can put out a request. My car was broken into on Wednesday night at home in Yeading, Hayes. The toe-rags jemmied open the drivers side door, ransacked the inside of my car and have stolen my sat-nav, 3 pairs of specs and my cornet. (Plus 3 mutes, 2 brass band CDs, a bag of shopping (!) my eye cream and moisturiser and a new pair of Birkenstocks). Subsequently, my car is in the repairers and I’ve made a hasty trip to Specsavers… Needless to say I’m not best pleased. What I’m really asking is – if by any chance you see something similar to the description below for sale whilst you are out and about I would really appreciate a call. I have notified my local music shops and secondhand shops and have asked one of the moderators to put a stolen instrument thread on the Mouthpiece which will have my contact details etc. In a nutshell it’s a Besson Sovereign 928, serial number GS786624 in bright silver plate in a burgundy and black ‘Gig’ bag. It is insured but I’m also offering a £150 reward for its recovery. Thanks for reading this. Kay Wiblin
