Tim Gregory - Repiano Cornet

About Tim: Tim started learning to play the Trumpet in December 1976. Playing mostly in orchestras, he was asked by his Trumpet tutor, to join the Coventry School of Music Brass band (for the benefit of more playing opportunities). Having got the bug, he remaining with the Coventry Band till a move to the Dunchurch Village Band (winning the Second Section Area Championships in 1989). Following a move to Guildford in 1999 (to work with some Porsche Cars thingie) Tim joined the Epsom & Ewell Silver Band, becoming the Principle Cornet player until he left to join Friary Guildford Band in 2001. Tim was voted in as the Chairman of the Band's Management Team in 2004, a position to which he was again elected at the recent Annual General Meeting of the Band in April of this year. Outside of the Band, Tim still works for some motor dealership thingie, is Chairman of the Board for an Insurance Company and resident Trumpet player for the Guildford Symphony Orchestra. Tim is in constant need of Beer and curry and will do almost anything (almost !!!) to get them. Tim has been embarrasing since the age of 7 and plans (one day) to grow up and get a proper job.
