The Friary Guildford Brass Band is one of the south's most successful brass bands and in 2010 became the first Band from London and Southern Counties to win the First Sectional National Finals of Great Britain. Its members enjoy contesting and performing concerts on a regular basis and rehearse twice a week. New players are always welcome. The Band and a 10-piece ensemble are both available for hire throughout the year and have a varied repertoire, ranging from brass band classics and marches to classical, jazz, and popular music.
